He was born on March 23, 1989 in Kumluca district of Antalya. He began wrestling sports with the encouragement of his father when he was 9 years-old. He started wrestling sports professionally in Kumluca Municipality Sports Club. He wasn’t actively interested in free wrestling.
He competed in Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling for the first time in 2000. He got second place at little 1 category. He got second place at little 2 category in 2001 and first place at encouraging category in 2003.
In 2004, he started working with the coach Kemal Yilmaz. After then, he began to compete at steerage category by ranking in every category. He got second place at Very Windy category in 2005, first place Deck Small category in 2006, first place at Deck Middle category in 2007, first place at Small Middle Small category in 2008, second place at Small Middle Big category in 2009, first place at Big Middle category in 2011, first place at Steerage category in 2012 and began to compete at Head category. He got first place at Head category in 2013. He became the Head Wrestler of 2015 year and won the golden belt by defeating Osman Aynur at the final competition in 654. Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling.
