Fatih Atlı was born on May 9, 1984 in Ladik district of Samsun. He began his wrestling career in 2000 in Ladik. He wrestled in Kargı, Çorum for the first time. He is a wrestler of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and he is studying on 19 Mayıs (May) University, Phsycal Education and Sports Academy.

He won the championship of middle-big (büyük orta boy) category in Kırkpınar 2005, championship of steerage (başaltı) category in 2006, third place of head (Baş) category. Moreover, he was selected as the most technical wrestler in 2011.
Fatih Atlı, 110 kilos in weight and 1.84 cm in length, became champion of head wrestler (başpehlivan) category at 653. Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling Festival in 2014. Thus, he took home the title of Başpehlivan (head wrestler) of Turkey and the golden belt for a year.
